Annual Meeting & Report

Each September, all Adams Electric Cooperative Members have an opportunity to attend their annual meeting. A typical annual meeting includes reports by the manager and officers of the Board of Directors, an election of directors and other Cooperative business. Dinner, musical entertainment, activities for children, and prizes keep our annual meeting informal. Every Member is equal: One Member = One Vote.

Due to Covid-19 restrictions,
the 81st Annual Meeting on Sept. 9
has been postponed until 2021.

There is no contested election this year, which means the three directors up for re-election for District #4, District #5, and District #6 will continue to serve one more year. Then, at the 2021 Annual Meeting, directors for District #4, District #5, and District #6 will be re-elected for an additional two years. The Cooperative will also have an election in 2021 for District #7, District #8, and District #9 for the next three year term to maintain the usual election schedule.

Join us for a Member Appreciation
Drive Thru Meal!

On Wednesday, September 9, we will have a drive-through meal from 3-7 p.m. at Adams Electric’s headquarters in Camp Point. The plan is to have members enter through our back (north) entrances and exit out the front (south) onto Highway 24. Bring your membership card. The membership card will be printed on the back cover of the September Adams Outlet (Annual Report) that you will receive at the end of August. With your membership card, you will receive free meals for your immediate family and a chance to win one of five $200 electric bill credits! We will have 1,200 meals available on a first-come, first-served basis.

Winners of the five $200 electric bill credits will be drawn September 10, 2020 from all eligible entries submitted during the drive-thru event. You must submit your entry at the drive-thru event. No entries will be accepted before or after the event. You may only submit membership cards for your own account(s). Credits will appear on the October bill (for September usage). Any remainder will carry over to future bill(s). Look for a map in the Annual Report.


Every member receives an annual report (our September issue arriving in mailboxes at the end of August). It gives the member a general review of the Cooperative’s operations. Financial statements in the annual report are based on an auditor’s report prepared by independent certified public accountants.
