Chocolately Frozen Mint Dessert

Ingredients
- 2 cups about 20 squares chocolate graham crackers, crushed
- 1/3 cup butter melted
- 1/4 cup sugar
- 1/2 gallon chocolate chip mint ice cream slightly softened
- 1 cup semisweet chocolate chips
- 1/3 cup butter
- 1 cup powdered sugar sifted
- 1 12 oz. can evaporated milk
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 1 8 oz. container frozen whipped dessert topping, thawed
Instructions
- In a bowl, combine crushed graham crackers, 1/3 cup melted butter, and sugar. Press into 15x10x1 baking pan. Set in freezer to chill for 5 minutes. Cut ice cream into 1/2 inch thick slices and lay over the crumbs. Cover and return to freezer. For chocolate sauce: In a saucepan, melt chocolate and 1/3 cup butter or margarine. Add powdered sugar and evaporated milk. Cook and stir for about 20-25 minutes until slightly thickened. Stir in vanilla. Cool sauce completely. Pour chocolate sauce over chocolate chip mint ice cream and return to freezer for about 30 minutes or until firm. Spread thawed dessert topping on top; freeze again until serving time. Makes 32 servings.
