Cheesy Corn Casserole

  • 2 Tbsp. sweet cream butter
  • 4 tsp. flour
  • 1/8 tsp. garlic powder
  • 3/4 cup milk
  • 1 1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 3 oz. pkg. cream cheese
  • 3 10 oz. pkgs. frozen whole kernel corn, thawed
  • 3 oz. dried ham cubed (We have used smoked brisket or pulled pork, cut in small pieces)


  • Melt butter, stir in flour and garlic. Add milk. Stir over medium heat until thick and bubbly. Stir in cheese. Cook and stir over low heat until cheese melts Stir in corn & ham. Put in a 2 quart casserole dish. Bake in preheated 350 degree oven for 45 minutes.


One of our favorite veggie side dishes is Cheesy Corn Casserole. This dish goes great with just about any smoked/BBQ meat dish. It’s flexible, too. You can change just one or two ingredients and have an entirely new taste! ~ Kristy & Sam
