The 2026 Electricity School will be held June 3, 2026 at John Wood Community College’s Workforce Development Center at 2710 N. 42nd St., Quincy. The event is open to all youth, ages 8-18 (not just 4-H members). Classes will include an introductory game or activity, a bucket truck demonstration, followed by workshops:
Level 1: Soda Can Solar Cars (Sign up for this class if this is your first year!)
Level 2: DC Simple Circuits (Sign up for this class if you’ve only attended one year in the past.)
Level 3: AC Circuits & Switches (Sign up for this class if you made a soda can solar car and an extension cord in previous years.)
Level 4: Solar & JWCC WDC Tour
There is no charge for the event, but students must pre-register:
