On behalf of Adams Electric Cooperative employees, General Manager Jim Thompson presented a check totaling $10,353 to Cheryl Waterman, Executive Director of the United Way of Adams County, Inc. The donation included employee and corporate contributions along with a matching gift from CoBank, a national cooperative bank serving vital industries across rural America. This year CoBank implemented the “Sharing Success” fund to partner with their member-owners in support of charitable organizations and causes in their local communities.
Employees of Adams Electric Cooperative live in Adams, Brown and Schuyler counties; therefore, the donation will be divided between United Way programs in each county based on employee selections.
The United Way brings together citizens in a community-wide effort to provide human service programs for all people. Thompson said, “Adams Electric is committed to our communities and helping make Adams, Brown and Schuyler counties a better place to live. We are proud to support the United Way.”
