Bacon Wrapped Onion Bombs


  • 2 lbs. ground beef or venison
  • 1 egg
  • 1/3 cup onion
  • 1 cup bread crumbs
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1 tsp. black pepper
  • 1/2 tsp. garlic powder
  • 1/2 cup barbecue sauce
  • 1 cup milk
  • 3-4 large onions


  • Combine ingredients in bowl. Mix well. Cut off tops and bottoms of onions. Slice onion on one side to center. Remove outer layer. Separate onion sections. Fill each section with ground beef mixture. Largest sections work the best. Wrap with bacon. Secure with skewer. Place on baking sheet. Bake at 425 degrees for 40 minutes.
