Chicken Stratta

Ingredients
  

  • 12 slices bread cubed
  • 3 cups chopped cooked chicken
  • 3/4 cup mayonnaise
  • 1/2 cup chopped onion
  • 1 cup chopped celery
  • 6 eggs
  • 1 1/2 cups milk
  • 1 1/2 cans cream of chicken soup
  • 3/4 cup French cut green beans drained
  • 1 cup grated cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 cup slivered almonds
  • 3/4 tsp. salt and pepper
  • Small amount pimentos drained

Instructions
 

  • Put half of bread cubes in bottom of 9x13 baking pan. Spread mixture of chicken, mayo, onion, celery, salt, and pepper on top. Put remaining half bread cubes on top. Beat eggs with milk and pour over all. Spread cream of chicken soup over all. Spread green beans and pimentos on top. Let set in refrigerator overnight. Bake in preheated oven at 325 degrees for 1 hour and 10 minutes. Top with grated cheese and almonds. Bake additional 5 minutes. Remove from oven and let rest 15 minutes before cutting into squares and serving. May substitute chicken with turkey.
