Chocolate Caramel Squares
Ingredients
- 3/4 cup butter or margarine melted
- 1 box German chocolate cake mix
- 1 cup chopped pecan pieces
- 1 (5 oz.) can evaporated milk
- 1 bag caramels
- 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
Instructions
- Mix butter, cake mix, pecans, and 1/2 of evaporated milk by hand until moist. Press 3/4 of mixture into a 9x13 greased pan. Bake 6 minutes at 350 degrees. In a separate microwavable bowl, place caramels and other 1/2 of evaporated milk. Microwave until melted and creamy, stirring every 30 seconds until caramels are melted. After first mixture bakes 6 minutes, remove from oven and sprinkle with chocolate chips. Drizzle caramel mixture over top. Dot with remaining 1/4 of cake mixture. Bake at 350 degrees for 15-18 minutes.
