Country Raisin Gingersnaps
Ingredients
- 1 1/2 cups raisins chopped
- 3/4 cups shortening
- 1 cup sugar
- 1 egg
- 1/4 cup molasses
- 2 1/4 cups flour
- 2 tsp. baking soda
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1 tsp. ginger
- 1/2 tsp. cinnamon
- 1/4 tsp. cloves
Instructions
- Beat shortening and sugar; add egg and molasses. Sift together flour, baking soda, salt, ginger, cinnamon, and cloves. Add to shortening mixture. Mix well; add raisins. Shape into balls, roll in sugar. Place on greased cookie sheet and bake 10-12 minutes.
