Fresh Apple Pie Fritters
Ingredients
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 2 Tbsp. sugar
- 1 tsp. baking powder
- Dash of salt
- 2 eggs slightly beaten
- 2/3 cup milk
- 1 tsp. cooking oil
- 4-6 tart cooking apples pared, cored & sliced crosswise
- Fat for frying
- Granulated sugar
Instructions
- Sift together flour, 2 Tbsp. sugar, baking powder & salt. Combine eggs, milk & cooking oil. Add to dry mixture, beat until smooth. Dip apple slices, one at a time in batter to coat well. Fry in shallow hot fat at 375 degrees for 2 1/2 to 3 minutes until golden brown.
