Fresh Apple Pie Fritters

Ingredients
  

  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 Tbsp. sugar
  • 1 tsp. baking powder
  • Dash of salt
  • 2 eggs slightly beaten
  • 2/3 cup milk
  • 1 tsp. cooking oil
  • 4-6 tart cooking apples pared, cored & sliced crosswise
  • Fat for frying
  • Granulated sugar

Instructions
 

  • Sift together flour, 2 Tbsp. sugar, baking powder & salt. Combine eggs, milk & cooking oil. Add to dry mixture, beat until smooth. Dip apple slices, one at a time in batter to coat well. Fry in shallow hot fat at 375 degrees for 2 1/2 to 3 minutes until golden brown.
