Fruit Cocktail Torte
Ingredients
- 1 cup flour
- 1 cup sugar
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1 tsp. baking soda
- 2 eggs beaten
- 1 (17 oz.) can fruit cocktail
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 1/2 cup chopped nuts
- Coconut optional
Instructions
- In mixing bowl, combine flour, sugar, salt, and baking soda. Add the beaten eggs, fruit cocktail (some juice included) and vanilla. Stir until well blended. Pour batter into a greased 9x9 pan and sprinkle with brown sugar, nuts, and coconut, if desired. Bake at 325 for 1 hour. Serve warm or cold topped with whipped cream or Cool Whip.
