Layered Lettuce Salad


  • 1 head lettuce torn into small pieces
  • 1 cup celery chopped
  • 4 hard-boiled eggs finely chopped
  • 1 (10 oz.) pkg. frozen peas uncooked
  • 1/2 cup green pepper chopped
  • Bacon fried and crumbled
  • 2 cups mayonnaise
  • 2 Tbsp. sugar
  • Grated cheddar cheese


  • Place first six ingredients in bowl in order listed. Mix mayonnaise with sugar and spread over the top, making sure salad ingredients are covered completely to the edge of the bowl. Sprinkle with grated cheese. Cover and refrigerate 8-12 hours. Mix just before serving.
