Garrett Neisen was recognized during the Association of Illinois Electric Cooperatives’ annual meeting in Springfield this past week.
Adams Electric Cooperative is proud to announce that Garrett Neisen, a graduate of Central High School, is one of seventeen winners of a scholarship through the Thomas H. Moore Illinois Electric Cooperatives (IEC) Memorial Scholarship Program. He is the son of Joe and Tara Neisen of Clayton, Illinois. Garrett was awarded a $2,500 LaVern and Nola McEntire Memorial Scholarship to help pay for costs to attend the lineworker’s school conducted by the Association of Illinois Electric Cooperatives in conjunction with Lincoln Land Community College in Springfield, Illinois. Candidates are judged on an essay, a biographical statement, references, and a recommendation. Adams Electric Cooperative is honored to have a scholarship recipient and is excited to see Garrett pursue a lineman career.
