Meat Balls


  • 2 lbs. hamburger
  • 1/4 cup oatmeal
  • 2 eggs
  • Salt & Pepper
  • Flour
  • 1 onion
  • 1-2 green peppers
  • 1 qt. whole tomatoes may use canned
  • 1/8 cup vinegar
  • 3/4 cup brown sugar


  • Mix hamburger, oatmeal, eggs, salt and pepper. Form into balls. Roll in flour and brown in a little fat. Sprinkle in a small amount of extra flour. cut up an onion and a green pepper or two into the fat. Fry until soft. Drain off fat. Add tomatoes, vinegar, and brown sugar. Bake in low oven for 1 hour.
