Mom's Apple Cake

Ingredients
  

  • 3 cups all purpose flour
  • 3 cups apples chopped (1/2 inch dice)
  • 2 cups + 4 Tbsp. sugar
  • 1 cup vegetable oil (or Canola)
  • 1 cup chopped pecans
  • 2 eggs well beaten
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1 tsp. baking soda
  • 1 tsp. cinnamon

Instructions
 

  • Mix ingredients in large bowl except for 4 Tbsp. sugar and cinnamon. Pour into greased 9x13 baking pan. Combine 4 Tbsp. sugar and 1 tsp. cinnamon and sprinkle on top of mixture. Bake at 300 degrees for 1 hour. Serve with whipped cream.
