Pennies Make Change

The first quarter of Penny Power grants have been approved. Adams Electric Cooperative’s Penny Power Committee distributed $5,965.60 in grants to the following organizations:

•   Central Middle School – $961 for voice amplifying system
•   Augusta Lions Club – $800 to start work on new park in Augusta
•   Madonna House – $850 for Everyday Life Skills Program
•   West Central Child Care Connection – $900 to purchase board books to be given to new parents at Blessing Hospital
•   Seymour Elementary School (2) – $300 for iPad, $300 toward new classroom tables
•   Transitions of Western IL – $554.60 for switches and switch activated interactive toys for special needs students
•   Blessed Sacrament Catholic Lighthouse Leadership School – $800 toward books for guided reading and intervention groups
•   Central Jr.-Sr. High School Information Resource Center – $500 to upgrade multi-media library
