Penny Power Grants Awarded

Eleven grants were recently approved through Adams Electric Cooperative’s Penny Power program. A total of $7,575.00 was awarded to the following groups/organizations:

  • Seymour High School ─ $100 for food prep equipment for Family and Food Science Department 
  • Washington School ─ $500 for parenting training program
  • Seymour Elementary School ─ $550 for iPad, apps, and accessories
  • Rotary Club of Quincy ─ $750 for holiday turkey giveaway program
  • Community for Christ Assistance Center ─ $625 for Back to School Fair for Central School District
  • Adams County Fair Association ─ $500 toward lighting and wiring upgrades for the show barn
  • Adams County Farm Bureau Foundation ─ $1,500 for Ag Literacy kits
  • Friends of the Park ─ $1,200 toward cost of replacing the roof on the main shelter house at Clark Park in Mt. Sterling
  • Central Panther Baseball ─ $650 for improvements to baseball field at Central High School
  • Village of Golden ─ $700 for computers and software for village office
  • Liberty Pre-K Program ─ $500 for developmental screening kit for pre-schoolers
