Thirteen applications were approved for funding this cycle. $7,820.82 was granted to the following groups/organizations:
- Augusta Senior Citizens—$1,150 toward cost of installing metal siding on back wall of senior center
- Blessed Sacrament School—$278.33 for various building kits/materials to aid with engineering skills
- Quincy Junior High School—$580 toward cost of providing sensory items for 7th grade sensory room
- St. Mary School—$675 toward cost of purchasing leveled Readers for 1st grade classroom
- Golden Friends—$800 for two outdoor benches for the Golden Community Park
- Schuyler County Humane Society—$516 toward the cost of chew-proof dog beds for new dog kennels
- Community for Christ Assistance Center—$700 for Camp Point Unit Dist. #3 Back to School Fair
- Denman Elementary School—$350 for educational and recreational field trips for special needs students
- Jensen Camp Foundation—$476.49 for supplies needed to create a safety zone around the new swing set
- Adams County Fair—$565 to help offset cost of kids’ day contests during the fair
- Lincoln Douglas Elementary School—$550 toward cost of tower garden project
- Central High School Trap Program—$630 for supplies needed for new trap shooting program
- Iles Elementary School—$550 toward cost of tower garden project
Penny Power grants to date now total $595,310.18! The next deadline to apply for a Penny Power grant is October 3, 2022.
