04/19/13 – Due to the river elevations, river camps between Quincy and Ursa (such as Ursa Camps, Zimmie’s Landing and Knapheide Landing) and south of Quincy (such as Ward Island) are being monitored now and throughout the weekend. When the river gets high enough that Adams Electric Cooperative has safety concerns with primary line clearance for boating and personnel, these lines will be de-energized as a safety precaution. The Cooperative expects this to happen possibly late Saturday or early Sunday.
If the drainage districts were to flood, all primary lines in the area will be de-energized.
All river camp accounts are being called to advise them of the situation and the potential outage.
