Potluck Potato Casserole

Ingredients
  

  • 2 lbs potatoes peeled (about 4 cups)
  • 3/4 cup butter divided
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp pepper
  • 1/2 cup onion chopped
  • 1 can cream of mushroom soup
  • 1 pint sour cream
  • 2 cups Velveeta cheese diced
  • 2 cups crushed corn flakes

Instructions
 

  • Cut up potatoes and cook until almost tender. Add 1/2 cup melted butter, salt, pepper, onion, soup, sour cream and cheese. Blend thoroughly. Pour into greased 5 quart casserole dish. Top with corn flakes mixed with 1/4 cup melted butter. Bake at 350° for 45 minutes.
