Shrimp Creole

Ingredients
  

  • 1 lg. onion minced
  • 2 Tbsp. cooking oil
  • 1 clove garlic minced
  • 2 Tbsp. minced green pepper
  • 1 Tbsp. flour
  • 1 8 oz. can tomato sauce
  • 1 1/2 to 2 cans water
  • Pinch of thyme
  • 2 Tbsp. minced parsley
  • 2 lbs. shrimp cleaned & deveined
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1/2 tsp. pepper

Instructions
 

  • Saute onion in oil until tender. Stir in garlic and green pepper for 2 minutes. Add flour. Add tomato sauce and simmer 5 minutes. Stir in remaining ingredients. Cover and simmer for 30 minutes. Serve over rice. Serves 4.
