Toffee Malted Cookies - 1st Place in the 2021 Holiday Cookie Recipe Contest

Ingredients
  

  • 1 cup butter softened
  • 2 1/4 cups flour
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1 cup quick cooking oats
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1 tsp. baking soda
  • 2 eggs
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1 pkg. 3.4 oz. instant vanilla pudding
  • 1 cup malted milk balls chopped
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 3/4 cup English toffee bits or almond brickle chips

Instructions
 

  • Cream butter & sugars. Add eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition. Add pudding mix & vanilla. Combine flour, oats, baking soda & salt; add to creamed mixture. Fold in malted milk balls and toffee bits. The dough will be stiff. Drop by rounded teaspoonfuls 2 inches apart onto ungreased baking sheets. Bake at 350 degrees for 12-15 minutes. Let cool on sheets for 2-5 minutes then remove to wire racks to cool.
